The application of advanced materials is one of the most important driving forces for the development and progress of aviation and maritime technology. It is the foundation for improving the technical performance, survival capability, lifespan, and economic affordability of aircraft and ships. The materials developed and produced by R&D are used for aircraft insulation, internal damping of the fuselage, fireproof sealing of cabin doors, as well as sealing and shock absorption of control terminals/displays in ships, and insulation and sound absorption in engine compartments. These materials adhere to the principle of "life cycle design" and possess functions such as flame retardancy, resistance to high and low temperatures, high strength, resistance to high impact forces, protective capabilities, resistance to aging, and radiation protection.
